This is just part of one of my Esbat altar arrangments. I though the candlelight cast a wonderful glow to the arrangment and I wanted to capture it on film. I will probably redo this photo some afternoon when I have time, my tripod and some better ways to light my altar table. That way I can do a series of altar arrangments!

hail the gods of DUAT!

the real devil is Anu-Jehovah-YHWH

"Happy the man who shall seize and smash your little ones against the rock!" (Psalms 137:9, New American Bible) - does this sound like a "loving" father to you?

hail Father Enki!
Ave luciferi!

You have the Crescent moon candle holders that I'd love to have.
I hope you don't mind me asking, but where did you get your God/Goddess statues?

Love this picture, by the way

you know... it never even occured to me to photograph an altar as a still life. not a bad idea at all, methinks.

I love photgraphing my altar arrangments and sharing them with others. It helps to show other pagans that there really are no hard fast rules to altar arrangments other than beauty, functionality, and what pleases you and the God/dess! KWIM? I also typically show my altar arrangments to online retailers so they can use them on their websites. (Typically, the ones I purchase from, I will show them how I use my purchases from their shops.) One of the best sites to find user created altars is Sacred Source, they post pictures submitted on a monthly basis!

Besides, I find such beauty in stomething that is arranged in a spiritual manner, no matter the religion. Look at the beauty of Catholic altars and churches...wow! Talk about art that transends time!

Art is purely individual and subjective so why bitch and moan about "what is and what is not art"?
